Menopause hit me like a freight train. So many symptoms…all at once.

I was completely unprepared for the rapid decline of my body. It was so intense that I was shocked at how little I actually knew about the process.

After three desperate years of going from doctor to doctor looking for answers and support I was finally able to piece together a plan that changed my life

Then I realized that the women in my life needed help too. Navigating doctors, updating their beauty and exercise routines, creating more menopause-friendly eating plans and getting their hormones leveled.

🥲 I couldn’t believe that none of them had any idea about what to do or where to go for help!

I realized that so many women just accept their fate and never seek help or question WHY they have to suffer. Especially, when I knew, first hand, how incredible it can feel when the right help is provided.

we believe a difficult menopause is our fate. but that isn’t true.

menopause is a golden opportunity to live a truly vibrant life – free from the hormone rollercoaster and it’s symptoms

Why The Empowered Pause?

IT’S TIME HAS COME

I could not sit back and watch as my generation was overcome by pain, anxiety and grief. Quitting their jobs, ending relationships and feeling like they had lost themselves.

Because I know how amazing they can feel and what is means to have a new lease on life, just when it feels like it’s slipping away.

I created The Empowered Pause to shine a light on what is possible for women in midlife. It is a movement to tear down the blinds and clear out the old ideas around menopause.

Midlife is the best of who you are and what you have done. With The Empowered Pause you can learn to see menopause as a gift to be embraced, not a burden to be dreaded.

My mission is to educate and empower my generation so we can give the next generation everything they need to have their best lives too!

ABOUT KYRA REED

I’ve spent over 25 years in marketing and branding and become a trailblazer in social media in the early 2000s. I was called a social media pioneer by Entrepreneur Magazine for my work with The Roxy Theater and the revitalization of the legendary Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.

A few years later I went on to build the largest women’s organization in cannabis, Women Employed in Cannabis (WEIC). I received numerous awards and features in leading magazines for the work I did to elevate the needs of working women in the industry. I was climbing the ladder and building my dreams…until my body began to change.

Supporting women in their midlife transition is an honor and a passion. Our generation can change the outcome of menopause for ourselves and the women behind us. For our daughters and nieces and generations to come.

Today, I am a Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist and my mission is to bring the message of The Empowered Pause to every woman (and female born people) around the world. We can STOP suffering and START living our best lives!
